Lessons on Revenue, aka the Best Kind of Funding

This month’s Entrepreneurship for Engineers column for The New Stack was a write-up of my take-aways from the panel at State of Open Con about sales and revenue. Panelists were Guy Podjarny, Matt Barker, Amandine le Pape and Peter Zaitsev — all open source entrepreneurs, several who bootstrapped their companies. They talked for over an hour about getting comfortable with sales, the necessity of founder sales and how to scale your sales organization when the time comes.

Check out the article here to see what I thought were some highlights from the panel. And if you didn’t go to the conference, all of the panels on entrepreneurship were worth seeing, and are available here.
